THE ELECTS ROYAL EVANGELISM MINISTRY (T.E.R.E.M.) ORIGIN AND PROFILE

In 1996, the Name of the Organisation was initially given as THE ELECTS ASSEMBLY (T.E.A.) but changed to THE ELECTS ROYAL EVANGELISM MINISTRY, (T.E.R.E.M.) on 20th March 2019, on the course of the registration with CAC (Company & Allied Commission, Abuja, Nigeria), and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

As has been prophesied, God would plant a CHURCH through him, and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the name: THE ELECTS ASSEMBLY was formally dedicated on the 6th August 2000 in IKEJA, LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA, upon divine directive given to its Founder/General Overseer, Pastor Julius Ajayi Babatunde.

Through God’s directive to change his surname;
Mr. JULIUS AJAYI BABATUNDE’s surname was changed to JULIUS AJAYI BABALADE on 29th August 2022).

He was born on Thursday, February 23, 1955, at 18, Idolofin Street, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, to the family of Pa. Joseph Asumolohun Babatunde and Madam Felicia Adesoro Ibidolapo Babatunde, a nominal Christian family.

1960-1966, he attended Saint David African Primary School, Idolofin, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

1970-1972, he attended the African Church Grammar School (now African Church Comprehensive High School, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.

1975, he gave his life wholly to the LORD JESUS CHRIST at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Fagbile, Odiolowo, Mushin, Lagos State, Nigeria, and had his immersion baptism done.

In 1978, he joined The Love Of Jesus Evangelical Assembly (LOJEM), Obanikoro, Lagos, Nigeria, and became the first CHOIRMASTER.

In 1982, he got married and the marriage was blessed with three kids: Joan Oluwaferanmi, Jesse Ayomide, and Susan Ololade.

He had his GCE O/L. through Exam Success Institute, a correspondence course, Ikorodu Road, Palmgrove, Lagos State.

From 1989 to 1994, he studied Business Administration at the DISTANCE LEARNING INSTITUTE (DLI), an organ of the UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS, which has an enhanced status as a faculty in the University. It runs a five-year degree programme B.Sc Business Administration and B.Sc. Economics.

He, also studied THEOLOGY at THE LOVE OF JESUS EVANGELICAL ASSEMBLY COLLEGE & SEMINARY, Obanikoro, Lagos Nigeria, in 1996.

The LORD compelled him to resign from his secular job in 1996 to become a full-time Minister of the Gospel.

In 1997, he was ordained and anointed as a PASTOR at THE MIRACLE FULL GOSPEL MISSION, Ijeshatedo, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria, and shepherded the church for two years.

In 1999, he worked as a Pastor at CHRIST THE ROCK WORLDWIDE ASSEMBLY, Anthony Village, Lagos, Nigeria.

On February 7, 2000, THE ELECTS BIBLE ASSEMBLY (The Elects Bible Church) was INAUGURATED and DEDICATED on AUGUST 6, 2000, and he became the FOUNDER/GENERAL OVERSEER of the CHURCH.

The CHURCH tentatively has its address as 11, Amore Street, off Toyin Street, by Saint Leo’s Catholic Church, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.

He re-married in 2019 to Princess Maria Omowunmi Babalade (Nee Komolafe), after a failed first marriage.
